MAYNARDS/CUP CAFE DISCOUNT NEXT MONDAY IS $2 OFF REGULARLY PRICED ENTREE AND $2 BEER ON THE PATIO. BACK TO REGULAR DISCOUNTS ON FEB 15. No Prix Fixe menu next Monday…returning on February 15.

Route has changed slightly to accommodate walkers who would like a shorter route and runners who want to run 4 miles…The first part of the route has not changed. Walkers may opt to walk 2 miles by turning left off of Broadway onto 5th St. and returning to Maynard’s. Others will continue east. After we cross Rattlesnake Bridge follow the sidewalk all the way to 4th Avenue. At this point walkers may opt to walk 3 miles by turning back under the underpass and return to Maynard’s. Others will continue north on the east side of 4th Ave. to University, cross over to the west side of 4th Ave. and return to Maynard’s. Of course you can turn back at any point along 4th Ave. The full 4-mile route will take us past all participating restaurants and bars, including Che’s, Shanty, The Hut, Bison Witches, Brooklyn Pizza Company, Bumsteds, Delectables and O’Malley’s. Enjoy!!

Walkers’ optional start time has been moved up to 5:45 to ensure everyone has time to complete whatever portion of the route they wish, and still be back for the drawing at 7:00. If you walk an 18-minute mile you will have ample time to finish all four miles and still be back at Maynard’s by 7:00.

Parking is always free in the parking lot next to Madden Media…345 E. Toole, just west of Maynards.

The MMM hand stamp will be required to receive all MMM Monday night discounts…beginning Monday, January 18. If you choose to partake, be sure you ask for a hand stamp when you check in. You will not be able to take advantage of the discounts without it, even if you have a map, or are in the company of others who have a hand stamp.

Training talk on February 15…”Nutrition for the Everyday Athlete”, with Becky Welp, R.D. Find Becky in the Market from 6:45 to 7:15 for an informal chat about your nutritional health. Don’t worry…if you win the drawing we will come find you.

MMM discount list changes (and grows) frequently. From now on the back of your route guide will list participating businesses…but no details. You will find up-to-date discount specials on the website only. It’s easy…just click on the “Discount specials” tab at the top of the homepage each Monday before you come.

You will also find news of importance about Meet Me at Maynard’s. There may come a day that we change our location for one Monday…like a field trip! Wouldn’t you want to know that before you arrive? J
