Congrats to three MMN Athletes who won a special drawing on Monday for participating in our partnership with Tucson Clean and Beautiful. They took away $25 gift certificates to El Charro, The Running Shop and Worldly Soles. On the 3^rd Monday of each month you have the option of taking a trash bag and gloves (provided) on your walk/run to pick up unsightly trash and help us keep our downtown beautiful. If you return to Maynards with a bag of trash you may enter a special drawing for $25 gift certificates from The Running Shop and Worldly Soles. They are awarded immediately after the regular drawing. Enter at check-in table when you return your trash bag.

Tucson Clean and Beautiful…will recognize MMM at a ceremony on Monday, March 15, at 4:00 PM on the site of our sign on Broadway. Please plan to be there in your MMM shirt and help us represent MMM. Take a look at our sign driving west on Broadway, just before Rattlesnake Bridge.

MMM First Anniversary “Rock and Stroll” on April 12…Plans are underway for a grand celebration, with multiple bands, food and drink, prizes, gifts, and surprises ($!!). Mark your calendars NOW!! MMM will make downtown a happening place…sponsored by TMC Healthcare. Be there or be square!! Stay tuned for more details. If you would like to help with the event, we will need lots of volunteers. Parking is always free after 5:00 PM in the Madden Media lot…345 E. Toole, just west of Maynards.

Route has changed slightly to accommodate walkers who would like a shorter route and runners who want to run 4 miles…The first part of the route has not changed. Walkers may opt to walk 2 miles by turning left off of Broadway onto 5^th St. and returning to Maynard’s. Others will continue east. After we cross Rattlesnake Bridge follow the sidewalk all the way to 4^th Avenue. At this point walkers may opt to walk 3 miles by turning back under the underpass and return to Maynard’s. Others will continue north on the east side of 4^th Ave. to University, cross over to the west side of 4^th Ave. and return to Maynards. Of course you can turn back at any point along 4^th Ave. The full 4-mile route will take us past all participating restaurants and bars, including Che’s, Shanty, The Hut, Bison Witches, Brooklyn Pizza Company, Bumsteds, Delectables and O’Malley’s. Enjoy!!

YOU MUST CHECK WEBSITE FOR DISCOUNT DETAILS….Your route guide will list participating businesses…but no details. You will find up-to-date discount specials on the website only. It’s easy…just click on the “Discount specials” tab at the top of the homepage each Monday.

You will also find news of importance about Meet Me at Maynard’s. There may come a day that we change our location for one Monday…like a field trip! Wouldn’t you want to know that before you arrive? J

Look for one of these gift certificates every week from now on…in addition to restaurant gift certificates. They have offered special/ additional gift certificates just for those who pick up trash on the 3^rd Monday of each month. Be there!!!
