New “South Route” is a hit…Hundreds of MMM Athletes checked out our new 3-mile route last Monday. They loved it! Here’s what they had to say…
- More shade (not sure that is fact)

The “south route” is three miles and wanders past residential areas, historic sites and some great restaurants. It is safe and easy to follow. Click on “Route” on the website and print directions. When you check in at MMM each week, select from the two route options and alternate them as you please.
Moonlight Maynards a few degrees cooler…Rumor has it that some of our MMM Athletes have organized a small group that takes off after the 7:00 o’clock drawing. They call it “Moonlight Maynards” and we hear it’s at least a few degrees cooler. Maybe you would like to join them. Just remember to walk or run defensively, obey traffic signals and carry a flashlight if you are going to be out after dark. Have fun!
The new “COOL MMM” creates an Urban Fitness Phenomenon!…Many of our MMM Athletes have enjoyed the five new air-conditioned fitness options. Meet Me at Boston’s makes the news…They call it a “Marana Thing”, and it is really taking off. Modeled after MMM, Meet Me at Boston’s is drawing a faithful and growing crowd at Boston’s Gourmet Pizza in Marana. Runners, check out OPTIONAL new runners’ route…This is an additional option for runners who prefer to run uninterrupted by traffic or the crowds. It is basically an out-and back run with little interruption.
Under underpass on 4th and up the stairs to pedestrian bridge over 4th
And continue toward Rattlesnake Bridge. Run 2,3,4,5,6,7 miles, or………..
Rattlesnake Bridge .5 mile
Far side of Basket Bridge 1 mile
Kino exit 1.5 miles
Norris Ave./ Aviation Bikeway 2 miles
Country Club/ Aviation Bikeway 3 miles
Turn around when you are ready and run up 4th Ave. to University, cross over and return to Maynards…adds one mile to the return run.
YOU MUST CHECK MMM WEBSITE FOR DISCOUNT DETAILS….Your route guide will list participating businesses and phone numbers…but no details. You will find up-to-date discount specials on the website only. It’s easy…just click on the “MMM Discounts” tab at the top of the homepage each Monday.
Parking is always free after 5:00 PM in the Madden Media lot…345 E. Toole, just west of Maynards. You can park in the Pennington Street Garage for a $2 flat rate after 5:00 PM.
