There was a great crowd in Club Congress on Monday. We sat at the bar in the lobby, while a large group was enjoying dinner in Club Congress and several more of our folks were in Cup Cafe.

It was great to see so many of us enjoying Hotel Congress on Monday. There were nearly 50 of us at the dinner call-out. We tried the new bar menu and it was wonderful. There were folks eating in the lobby bar, in
Club Congress and we filled Cup Cafe.

In short…HOCO was made for us!!

We can’t claim these “harmonious” gentlemen, but they appeared spontaneously at Hotel Congress, gave us a free serenade and then slipped out the door.

Beginning at the New Year MMM will move our starting/ending location to Hotel Congress! Thanks to the nice folks at Hotel Congress/ Maynards, we will enjoy the beautiful plaza at Hotel Congress in the nice weather (most of the time), and be indoors for our music, announcements, drawing, socializing, etc. on
those cold, wet, rainy, or 110 degree evenings. You can belly up to the bar or
enjoy the cozy lobby or club. True to their reputation for casual neighborhood ambiance, Hotel Congress is welcoming MMM with open arms!

Yes, it was cold and wet, but the spirits of our MMM Athletes were not dampened one bit!!

Once again, we were amazed at the turn out for MMM. It was cold and it was rainy!! We set up under the cover by the train depot and it worked out great. We were warm and dry. The walkers and runners…not so much. But look at all of these happy faces. No question, they were having fun!

By the way, look for us in this spot next week and probably until it warms up. Emmet talks to James and Julie about the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon. Emmet gave away at least 20 t-shirts in the drawing. Everyone loved it!!

I cannot tell you how much our family is thankful for NextCare Urgent Care. We first learned about them at Meet Me at Maynards, when we realized that NextCare had a clinic about one mile from our house. Last week, our 2-year-old daughter complained of elbow pain – we took her to NextCare and they took x-rays and diagnosed her elbow as “nursemaid’s elbow” in which the radius and ulnar are popped out of place. NextCare did need to refer us to TMC Pediatric Emergency Care, where they put her elbow back into place. It was all very timely and efficient. Thanks to NextCare and TMC, we were able to get our daughter healthy again – and, frankly, we never would have gone to NextCare if

we had not learned about them at Meet Me at Maynards.
